The building

The Royal Hospital for Neuro Disability is a charity, independent of the NHS but working closely with it, caring for people living with neuro disability.

The challenge

Riser doors in a hospital give estates teams access to services while keeping the building’s fire compartments intact. The doors were installed on several floors and in communal areas, so they had to be secure and fire rated from both sides.

The solution

We supplied the riser doors through a building contractor appointed to the project.

    Bi directional 1 hour fire rating, so the door performs whichever side a fire starts.

  • 3 point locking

    Keeps the riser secure in patient and communal areas.
