    Description

10x FlipFix Plasterboard Door Beaded Frame Access Panel

    Product Reference: PB.BF.FF

This listing is for a pack of 10 PB.BF.FF (Plasterboard, Beaded Frame, FlipFix) access panels. The multipack discount is shown in the Discount Chart tab.

The PB.BF.FF is a non-fire rated FlipFix access panel with a plasterboard faced door and a beaded frame, both taped and jointed or skim coated on site so the panel finishes flush with the wall or ceiling. It is dual purpose and suits plasterboard walls and ceilings where services need regular maintenance.

Choose your size from the list. Small and large sizes are available, or we can manufacture a panel to your custom bespoke size. Please contact us if this is something you require.

    FlipFix Access Panels

FlipFix launched in 2015, and its patented fitting system has proved to be a market leader in the UK by reducing fitting times on site by as much as 80%. FlipFix Access Panels also feature a mitreless frame and a flush lock system. No screws or glue are needed for fitting and there is no need for bracing or supports: just cut, fit and flip. You can read about the benefits of FlipFix Access Panels here.

    Access Panels Specifications

    Construction

    • Plasterboard faced door, 12.5mm plasterboard depth.
    • 25mm beaded frame for tape and jointing or skim coat plastering.
    • 60mm panel depth.
    • Zintec steel, 0.9mm thick door and 0.9mm thick frame.
    • Finish: powder coated RAL 9010, 30% gloss. Other colours available upon request.
    • Dual purpose: can be used on a wall or ceiling.

    FlipFix fitting device

The FlipFix quick fix mechanism clamps the frame onto the rear of the boards, so the structural opening needs no battening out. The device covers boards from 8mm to 32mm.

Before the skim coat is applied, a joint filler and scrim tape must be applied over the junction between the beaded frame and the plasterboard to prevent cracking of the skim coat.

    Locking

Supplied as standard with a budget lock and plastic tee key. Other lock options are available upon request.
