Non-Fire Rated.
1 Hour Fire Rated: tested for integrity up to 1800x600mm in a wall application.
2 Hour Fire Rated: tested for integrity up to 900x600mm in a wall application.
All fire ratings are tested in accordance with B.S.476: Part 22: 1987. The panels are not acoustic rated and not air pressure tested.
Installation
Remove the door from the frame and place the frame into the set hole.
Fix through the appropriate fixing holes within the frame, ensuring it’s pushed against the structural opening surround.
Check for squareness, refit the door, and lock it in place.
Independent bracing or support may be required to take the weight of the Access Panel.
For fire-rated panels, apply Intumescent acrylic mastic to the frame’s rear (nominally 5mm wide, sealing to the supporting construction) and in the gaps between the door leaf and frame. The mastic in the door gaps is cut away and reapplied when the door is opened.
To prevent damage, ensure tiles do not overhang the frame or door when tiling.
Measuring Guide
How to measure
Enter the structural opening width and height in millimetres.
Ensure the structural opening is at least 7mm larger than the back of the frame size. For example, a 600x600mm back of frame size needs a 607x607mm hole.
